French plum oil: for which skin type?

What are its benefits and actions on the skin?

Thanks to its high oleic acid content (75%), Aquitaine plum oil is naturally:

• Lipid-replenishing, it deeply nourishes the skin and restores suppleness and elasticity to skin lacking nutrition.
• Protective and antioxidant, it protects the skin from the harmful effects of pollution thanks to its high concentration of vitamin E: 700 ppm of tocopherols, or 15 mg of vitamin E per 100 grams of oil!
• Emollient, it limits water loss and preserves natural hydration thanks to essential fatty acids that strengthen the hydrolipidic film.

The plums are cultivated and harvested in Aquitaine, according to the specifications of French Organic Agriculture. It is a specific variety of plum, the 'prune d'Ente', which once pitted and dehydrated becomes a prune from Agen. The recovered kernels are cold-pressed to produce vegetable oil: this is called co-product valorization.
